Persley Castle Care Home is located in a converted period house in Bucksburn, just 3 miles from the centre of Aberdeen. Arranged over three floors, this historic property stands next to the River Don and enjoys pretty woodland views and relaxing sounds of the river. Our home also benefits from attractive gardens to the rear of the home, with easy access for our residents.

Our home enjoys an excellent reputation locally for providing first-class care within a warm and welcoming environment. Our home is filled with love and laughter and we cherish the special moments between family and friends.

  • Welcome Home
    Persley Castle provides accommodation for a up to 40 residents with a variety of nursing and care needs. Our charming home and bedrooms vary in size and style but are predominantly single rooms with en-suite or wash facilities. We love to see residents making their space their own, furnishing them with their own treasured belongings, so they feel relaxed and comfortable in their surroundings. Residents can relax in their own personal space or socialise in our shared areas. Our home boasts room for people to mix and mingle as well as quiet spots where residents can relax quietly or enjoy a good book. Our dining areas are also flexible, offering a sociable supper or quiet dinner, depending on the mood.
  • Nursing & Medical Services
    Persley Castle’s talented team provide 24-hour nursing and extraordinary care to our residents. Our nurses are all NMC-registered and, together with our highly skilled care staff, deliver individual care. Each resident will work with the team to create a specific and personalised care plan to support their abilities, aspirations and choices. The team not only advocates positive clinical practice but also represent the caring and nurturing values that reflects resident’s ethos. We encourage personality,humour and individual interests to shine through, not only in our residents buy the team at Persley Castle. Persley is closely aligned with the local medical practice, we have our own on-site nurses and host a weekly health clinic. We can also facilitate access to other NHS services such as dieticians, physiotherapists, district nurses and community psychiatric services.

    Life at Persley Castle is as stimulating and sociable as each resident desires. We prioritise physical and emotional wellbeing, ensuring there is always something fun, active or creative to do or to look forward to. We have close links to the community and our residents enjoy trips and excursions locally as well as a host of engaging activities. We also have access to a minibus for days out and events. We understand that supporting individual lifestyle is incredibly important to help residents to flourish and achieve positive outcomes. Our dining experience supports this philosophy by creating enjoyable and sociable dining opportunities for all. Our chefs enjoy creating delicious, nutritious dining and consult our residents regularly to ensure all tastes are catered for – whether hearty Scottish meals or more adventurous cuisine is desired. We also ensure all dietary, allergen and nutritional needs are met. And a plentiful supply of snacks and soft drinks are always available! The Persley housekeeping team maintain a spotlessly clean and hygienic environment and a full laundry service is also available to residents.
