Snow brings out the inner child in residents at Jesmond Care Home
Elderly residents at Renaissance Care’s Jesmond Care Home in Aberdeen have been out enjoying the snow in the gardens around the home, showing you are never too old to have a little fun.
With snow covering Aberdeen this week, some of the ladies living at Jesmond Care Home decided to head outside for some mischief in the snow.
Margaret McNicol (79), Ada Milne (86), Margaret Esson (84) and Jean Runcie (82) built their own snowman, aptly fit with a face mask, before gearing up for a mini snow ball fight.
Jade McGowan, activities coordinator at Renaissance Care’s Jesmond Care Home, said: “It has been lovely seeing the residents having so much fun. They really embraced their inner child and had a great time.
“The residents love being outside in the gardens and over the last year we’ve been as creative as possible with new activities for them but it turns out all we needed was a little snow.
“It’s safe to say they were all ready for a hot cuppa afterwards.”
Jesmond Care Home is situated on the outskirts of Bridge of Don with a beautiful enclosed garden which the residents often take ownership of.
