Renaissance Care has now completed its long-planned acquisition of Cranford Care Home in Aberdeen, as the Scottish group continues to expand its portfolio of quality care homes, despite the current challenging and uncertain environment for the social care sector.

Cranford Care Home, previously operated by Larchwood Care, provides high-quality residential, nursing, and dementia care for up to 38 residents, supported by a team of almost 50 staff.

Cranford now joins five other Aberdeen care homes operated by Renaissance; Cowdray Club, Jesmond, Persley Castle, Torry and Riverside.

This acquisition aligns perfectly with our mission to provide compassionate, person-centred care that enhances the quality of life for every resident. We look forward to working closely with the staff and residents to continue building on the home’s excellent reputation.

Louise Barnett, Managing Director

The home has previously been recognised for its personalised approach to resident well-being and its strong connections to the local community. This is a commitment that Renaissance Care will continue and expand upon as it retains all current staff members and provides management support and centralised services to the home allowing for more local community engagement and an increased focus on resident care.

Louise Barnett, Managing Director of Renaissance Care said: “I speak on behalf of everyone at Renaissance Care when I say we were looking forward to welcoming the team at Cranford House into our group.

“It is well-known that the exceptional team at Cranford are what makes the resident wellbeing, care and experiences so exceptional and through the Renaissance acquisition we look forward to being able to support them to continue to do that.
