Renaissance Care, a leading Scottish care home group, has purchased its first care home in Dundee, Benvie care home. The 60-bed unit, which employs 100 members of staff, becomes Renaissance Care’s 18th care home providing high-quality care.
Renaissance Care, which celebrates its 20-year anniversary this year, now operates 18 care homes across Scotland, employing more than 1,400 people and caring for over 860 residents.
A management team from Renaissance Care were brought in to take over the running of Benvie care home in July this year, and they will now transition the home to the Renaissance Care group which is committed to person-centred care for all residents.
Louise Barnett, managing director at Renaissance Care, said: “ We are expanding our operations across Scotland to provide high-quality care for more residents, and are thrilled to welcome Benvie care home to the group.

“This strategic decision allows us to operate in Dundee for the first time and, having managed operations at the home in recent weeks, the potential for the home, and its people, is clear to see. We are delighted to be part of the home’s future and believe that our investment in the home and it’s people will help ensure residents and their loved ones continue to receive high quality care.”
Renaissance Care has recently made investments across the group as it works to reduce its carbon footprint, improve the environment for residents and allow for the creation of more communal areas for residents and their families to enjoy.
