New Leadership Inspires Change

Headshot of Care Home Manager Liz MacRae

Renaissance Care is built upon a foundation of highly skilled and talented staff, unified in their pursuit of one central goal: delivering personalised, high-quality care that challenges misconceptions and promotes an active, fulfilling lifestyle for our residents.

This collective dedication ensures that every individual encountered within a Renaissance Care home embodies the same passion, warmth, and empathy. From our domestic and kitchen teams to our wellbeing leads, nurses, and carers, everyone shares a profound commitment to supporting our residents and their families throughout their care journeys.

Liz MacRae, Kingsmills Care Home’s newly appointed home manager, epitomises this commitment in action – inspiring a new era of compassionate care under her leadership.

"I'm proud to be a social care worker. Working with older adults is a privilege, and it brings me great joy to use my skills to enhance their quality of life. My team and I are deeply invested in each resident's care—it's truly a personal connection."

Liz MacRae

Beginning her career as a visiting hairdresser in care homes, Liz made a significant career change to full-time care nearly 20 years ago. Since then, she has gained extensive experience in various roles, including positions in mental health units, nursing, management, and operations. Her experience across almost every care home department, paired with her pursuit of qualifications—SVQ, HNC, and a nursing degree—has provided her with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of care home operations. This has strengthened her desire to return to the bustle of daily care home life.

Reflecting on her journey, Liz shared, "I'm proud to be a social care worker. Working with older adults is a privilege, and it brings me great joy to use my skills to enhance their quality of life. My team and I are deeply invested in each resident's care—it's truly a personal connection."

Returning to home management after her regional role has enriched Liz with diverse experiences and innovative approaches to care. She is eager to bring these to Kingsmills, where she aims to drive improved outcomes and resident satisfaction.
