What is Palliative Care?

Palliative and end of life care is a specialised form of nursing designed to support residents with a terminal illness, improving their quality of life right up to the end of their life.

  • The care, compassion and sheer hard work is outstanding in this care home. The manager is superb and the staff are excellent. It is perfect for my ninety-year-old mother who has advanced dementia. It is an absolute godsend for my mother to be here at Milford House. The resident's families are kept in the loop with everything as the communication is wonderful. This feels like a home, a proper home and has a wonderful vibe. Thank you to all those who take care of my lovely wee mammy. Relative, Milford House
  • We as a family have found the staff very caring and attentive to my dad and his needs. Some of the staff are excellent with my dad and we can see that he has really taken to them. Relative, Whitecraigs
  • Persley is such a lovely, homely environment. My mother is very happy and well looked after. The staff do so much with the residents, always activities going on and they always pull out the stops when doing special events. I can't thank the staff enough for the care and compassion they provide. Relative, Persley Castle
