We are seeking an experienced Assistant Chef to join our team in Kingsmills Care Home for 33 hours per week.

As an Assistant Chef in one of our care homes, your duties will include supporting and working alongside the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team to prepare healthy and nutritious seasonal meals for our residents as well as catering for those with any specialist dietary requirements. So you'll have plenty of opportunity to put your interest and passion for food to good use.

You’ll be experienced in food preparation and cooking, ensuring a range of options are available at mealtimes for our residents to choose from. You will be responsible for checking and maintaining kitchen equipment, reporting any damages or breakages to the maintenance team or home manager. You will follow and supervise the kitchen team to work within COSHH and HACCP regulations and maintaining the highest hygiene standards and ensuring infection control protocols are followed in the kitchen.

Please be aware that as a social care employee, all employees based within a residential setting and/or who have face to face contact with our residential settings, will be expected to provide vaccination status as a condition of employment or willingness to undertake vaccination prior to commencing work.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £12.41 per hour

Expected hours: 33 per week
