Rehibilitation of Offenders Act 1974

The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 as amended, The Police Act 1997 and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 Remedial Order 2015”. As providers of care services Renaissance Care are exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 under section 4(2) of said 1974 Act. The role that you have applied for is regulated work with protected adults and Renaissance Care will therefore undertake a PVG check as part of the application. You are therefore required to disclose any unspent convictions or cautions and any spent convictions for offences included in Schedule A1, ‘OFFENCES WHICH MUST ALWAYS BE DISCLOSED’ of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Amendment Order 2015 No.2.
